A six-month internship opportunity is available in the Investor Relations department, which directly interfaces with investors, financial professionals, and helps communicate SCOR's financial information and competitive insights.

As a leading global reinsurer, SCOR offers its clients a diversified and innovative range of reinsurance and insurance solutions and services to control and manage risk. Applying "The Art & Science of Risk," SCOR uses its industry-recognized expertise and cutting-edge financial solutions to serve its clients and contribute to the welfare and resilience of society in around 160 countries worldwide.

Working at SCOR means engaging with some of the best minds in the industry - actuaries, data scientists, underwriters, risk modelers, engineers, and many others - as we work together to find solutions to pressing challenges facing societies.

As an international company, our common culture is defined by "The SCOR Way." Serving both to build momentum that drives the Group forward and as a compass to guide our actions and choices, The SCOR Way is anchored by five core values, reflecting the input of employees at all levels of the Group. We care about clients, people, and societies. We perform with integrity. We act with courage. We encourage open minds. And we thrive through collaboration.

SCOR supports inclusion and the diversity of talents, and all positions are open to people with disabilities.

The Investor Relations department is key in interfacing directly with investors (e.g. current and potential shareholders and the broader financial community) as well as sell-side analysts/brokers / rating agencies. The department assists the financial community in understanding SCOR's investment thesis, financial results and other finance-related publications. The department also assists SCOR in understanding its competitors' performance.

Under the supervision of the investor relations team you will contribute to the following work streams:

  • Gather public intelligence from competitors, benchmarking their financial performance
  • Prepare internal studies on competitive landscape, peers performance
  • Listen and summarise the competitors' calls to understand their strategy and share them with the wider SCOR community
  • Leverage sell-side and ratings analyses to support your studies and come up with a qualitative judgement on peers performance
  • Support the IR team on the rest of its work preparing SCOR's financial quarterly results and/or Investor Day
  • Benchmark reinsurers' results and news flows
  • Help prepare internal documents for the Executive Committee and the Board
  • Answer the team's requests on targeted ad hoc projects

  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Fluency in English is necessary. Fluency in French is preferable but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and international environment.
  • Previous relevant experience in strategy - or finance-related functions - either for a corporate, or an audit / consulting / investment banking firm would be ideal but not necessary.

Required Education

  • Business school background, looking for a 6-month internship as part of a gap year or upon graduation (equivalent to Bac +5).
