How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Join Air Liquide's significant HR Transformation, one of the largest transformational projects the company has undertaken in recent years, which will meaningfully impact our ways of working. This role provides an opportunity to work in an international project environment with substantial visibility at the European level. You will be key in driving the next steps in our digitization journey and positively influencing the employee experience across Europe.

As the Team Leader for Payroll (m/f), you will manage an experienced team focused on delivering excellence and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage the team and workload of payroll specialists, including coaching and developing team members.
    Develop a highly skilled and energetic payroll team to deliver excellent and consistent service to its customers, meeting SLAs for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Act as a coach/mentor and lead by example.
  • Set team/group goals and maintain accountability for achieving them.

Operational Management & Improvement
  • Monitor service levels, manage on-the-ground operations, and conduct Payroll Team quality assurance activities.
  • Look to continuously improve the efficiency of day-to-day payroll operations and work processes, promoting best practices.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to policies and procedures and compliance across the team, raising risks/issues as needed.

Support & Escalation
  • Resolve complex queries relating to payroll administration activities.
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in case of escalations.
  • Support Payroll Specialists when demand is high.
  • Contribute to HR Services Business Continuity activities as applicable, highlighting critical resources and activities.
  • Contribute to vendor management if HR Services specific vendors are used to manage Payroll activities

Are you a MATCH?

  • Degree in Human Resources Management other Social Sciences or administrative equivalent discipline.
  • Experience in Human Resources environment (recommended and in shared services environment will be considered a plus)
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (collaborative and team oriented with cross-functional collaboration background)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people including managers, executives, business partners and subject matter experts from various countries, cultures and business levels.
  • Take on Ownership, act as coach/mentor and lead by example.
  • Sets team/group goals and has accountability for achieving goals.
  • Analytic thinking and pragmatic approach
  • Promotes best practices, works to improve processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer -focused environment
  • Ability to act in a confidential and sensitive manner
  • High sense of commitment and responsibility
  • English is mandatory, French is a plus
  • Experience with Alight provider environment will be considered a plus.
  • Experience with Workday and/ or Service Now will be considered a plus.
  • Availability to travel when possible and necessary
